Time spent learning/practising: 47hrs
Status: Learning major scales, barre chords and songs

I did 30 minutes today, but I was lying back on a beanbag relaxing, instead of sat on my computer chair like normal, so it was more of a relaxed practice than a serious one. I did however find a much better placement for my thumb when forming the chords for the song I am learning, which I hope when I give it a try tomorrow should allow me to change a bit faster. By having my thumb at the back in the centre of all my fingers instead of having it always behind where my first finger is, then I don’t feel unstable as I lift my fingers off the fretboard like I did before. I tried the 6 string barre chords again and didn’t really make any progress with them, I did find out that I can easily do 5,4,3,2 string barre chords, but 6 strings messes me up for some reason. I’ll get there in the end!

I ordered a songbook today too, so I can learn some full songs from proper tablature instead of trying to decipher the tabs people make on the free sites.
